Minnapolas

Minnapolas was first settled in 1847 by imigrants from New England, who were later joined by many Scandanavians, and Germans that traveled down from Canada. Minnapolas sits adjacent to Saint Paul across the Mississippi river, and is called the Twin Cities.

Much history is known, and is often referred to as “The Tale of Two Cities”. Minneapolis has become the land of 10,000 things to do. A register is available to seek its historic spots, and more information regarding travel and the such.

Minneapolis is known for its harsh winters with five months of documented snow months, as well as the famous baseball team the “Minnesota Twins” who attended the World series in 1987 and 1991. The football team “Minnesota Vikings”, and two basketball teams the “Minnesota Timberwolves, and Minnesota Lynx” share themselves with its twin city Saint Paul across the river.

Minnapolas has beautiful skyways of glass and steel connecting downtown restaurants to hotels, shopping, and entertainment, making it comfortable for its residents and visitors keeping them from having to venture out into the elements of the cold during winter months and the heat of the summer months.

Minneapolis features the “Mall of America”

The largest indoor mall in the country, and the St. Anthony Falls. Saint Anthony Falls were discovered by the french explorer Father Louis Hennipen, and St. Anthony Falls was where it all began. The Lumbar and Flour Mills industry was the beginning of growth in Minnapolas, and it went forward from there.

These days employment listings in the area are over 500 positions per day, thanks to the industries of museums, parks, the Mall of America, and 3-M, just to name a few. The mode of transportation is biking, approximately 10,000 use their bikes per day, transit by commuter trains, automobiles, and the busline.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show popular in the 1970’s was set in Minneapolis, and some of the movies filmed wether all of in part were Grumpy Old Men, Grumpier Old Men, The Mighty Ducks, Purple Rain, and The Heartbreak Kids.
