MallofAmerica

The MallofAmerica also known in its early days as “the megamall” is located within minutes from the picturesque downtown Minneapolis. It first opened their doors in the early 1990’s as the second largest mall in the United States.

This mega structure has over two million square feet in retail space which is the equivalent to seven Yankee stadiums or over two hundred and fifty Statues of Liberty. People have mentioned if one was to visit every store in the Mall of America, it would take well over three days to complete. This mall also occupies the country’s largest indoor family amusement center which includes two roller coasters, a 1.2 million gallon walk thru aquarium and Lego Land which is great for children or even the child in you. This “mega mall” also has a wedding chapel in which over four thousand couples have exchanged vows.

The MallofAmerica is so spacious it has well over five hundred retail stores for you to shop and enjoy as the state of Minnesota offers zero sales tax on clothing. Just to name a few stores are Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, Bloomingdale’s and Sears as its anchor stores. Others include Old Navy, Barnes and Noble and the Sports Authority for the sport in you.

If you grow tired from all the shopping or just need to rest and take a break from it all, the MallofAmerica boasts over fifty restaurants and bars not to mention the specialty food stores such as Hooters, Rainforest Café and the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

If you are looking for that special gift whether it is for someone else in your life or just shopping for yourself and your family, the MallofAmerica has something to offer.
