Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas
Dallas-Fort Worth is a Metropolis in itself. Located in the central northeast section of the state of Texas, it has become the melting pot of cultures over the years and are diverse American cities.
Most folks when they hear the word Dallas they immediately think of football, and home of the Dallas Cowboy’s football team, or the Dallas Cowboy’s cheerleaders. Some might even recall the sitcom of the 1980’s of “Dallas” starring the dastardly gent J.R. Ewing, and his alcoholic wife Sue Ellen.
Texas is deeply rooted in the Hispanic culture. The spanish founded Texas, and now over six million Latinos populate the state. The Chinese immigrated to Texas in 1869 to work on the railroads. Dallas has sixteen different Asian nationalities living thrughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The area has also been named one of the best places for African Americans to do business. Dallas-Fort Worth has a thriving African American community.
Fort Worth, founded as a miilitary camp in 1849 is the 5th largest city in Texas. Fort Worth was once just a cowtown on a trail to Kansas, and is now a part of a mighty “Metroplex” at the crossroads of the world.
